Why are some parts of pages not displaying, for example sections or related resources?

Some privacy settings in Chrome and Edge browsers may block content from loading. This article explains the issue and provides a simple fix to restore full site functionality.

What's happening?

If you're experiencing loading issues or seeing error messages on our site, your browser's privacy protection settings may be blocking some content from displaying properly. This primarily affects users of:

  • Microsoft Edge 140  with "Tracking prevention" set to "Strict"
  • Google Chrome 140 with third-party cookie blocking or enhanced privacy features enabled
  • Other browsers with aggressive privacy extensions or ad blockers

These privacy features are designed to protect you from online tracking, but they can sometimes mistakenly block legitimate content that our site needs to function properly.  In this case, the browser is blocking requests to https://cdn.contentful.com, which is our content management system.

How to fix this issue

For Microsoft Edge users:

  1. Click the lock icon in your browser's address bar when on our site
  2. Select Tracking prevention
  3. Toggle the setting to Off for this site only
  4. Refresh the page

Alternative method:

  1. Go to Edge Settings → Privacy, search, and services
  2. Under Tracking prevention, select Balanced instead of Strict
  3. Or add our site to the Exceptions list to allow it while keeping Strict mode for other sites

For Google Chrome users:

  1. Click the lock icon in your browser's address bar
  2. Select Cookies and site data
  3. Choose Allow all cookies for this site
  4. Refresh the page

Alternative method:

  1. Go to Chrome Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  2. Under Sites that can always use cookies, click Add
  3. Enter our website address and click Add

For users with ad blockers or privacy extensions:

  1. Temporarily disable your ad blocker or privacy extension for our site
  2. Most extensions allow you to "whitelist" or "allow" specific sites
  3. Look for the extension icon in your browser toolbar and select options to allow our site

Why does this happen?

Our site uses a content delivery network (CDN) to provide you with educational materials, videos, and resources. When strict privacy settings are enabled, browsers may incorrectly identify these legitimate content requests as tracking attempts and block them.

We want to assure you that:

  •  We are not tracking your browsing behavior across other websites
  • The blocked requests are solely for delivering educational content you've requested
  • Your privacy and security remain our top priorities

Still having issues?
