Stuck on /callback When Signing In with Username and Password

What to do when you're signing into Digital Theatre+ with a username and password and you encounter "The JWT was issued in the future"

Pre-requisites

  • You must be signing into Digital Theatre+ using a username and password, not via your organisation's Single Sign On service.

Description

When you sign into Digital Theatre+, the website checks if your computer's date and time match the server's time within 2 minutes. This helps keep your account secure by preventing others from capturing and reusing your sign-in session.

If you get stuck on the URL https://edu.digitaltheatreplus.com/callback after entering your username and password, your computer's date and time might be out of sync.

In this case, clicking Sign In will not work, and you will see an AuthSDKError stating that "The JWT was issued in the future."

Resolution


For Windows 10 Users:

  1. Go to Start > Settings > Time & language > Date & time.
  2. Make sure these settings are turned on:
    • Set the time automatically
    • Set the time zone automatically
