What is the difference between a Title and a Production?

On the new Digital Theatre+, you will find our Titles directory - a new way for you to explore and surface the best of what's on offer for a given title.

Titles

Under Titles you can find all of the content relating to that title, usually a play.

For example, Hamlet :

Here you can discover all the resources on Digital Theatre+ relevant to the play Hamlet by William Shakespeare. Depending on what is available, these are then divided into Productions, Video Resources, Written Resources and Teaching Resources.

Productions

A Production is then a particular instance of a Title.

For example, the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Hamlet :
