How to download the VPAT for the new version of Digital Theatre+

The Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) is a document which evaluates how accessible a particular product is according to the Section 508 Standards.

Digital Theatre+ last updated this VPAT report on Tuesday 28 September 2021, using VPAT version 2.4.

This report includes statements of conformance against the following standards and requirements:

  • VPAT 2.4 WCAG: WCAG 2.1 or ISO/IEC 40500 – W3C/WAI’s recently updated Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
  • VPAT 2.4 508: Revised Section 508 standards – the U.S. Federal accessibility standard

WCAG compliance summary

All WCAG 2.1 Level A, AA, AAA are fully supported with the following exceptions:

  • 1.2.1 Audio-only and Video-only (Prerecorded) (Level A); 1.2.3 Audio Description or Media Alternative (Prerecorded) (Level A); 1.2.5 Audio Description (Prerecorded) (Level AA) - Does not support - The product does not currently have alternatives for video or audio time-based media or an audio track for video. 
  • 1.2.2 Captions (Prerecorded) (Level A)  - Partially supports - at the time of writing 91% of videos which include speech now have captions. DigitalTheatre+ aims to have 100% of videos available with captions.  Digital Theatre+ has a policy that any new video with speech must include captions at time of publishing.
  • 1.2.6 Sign Language (Prerecorded) (Level AAA); 1.2.7 Extended Audio Description (Prerecorded) (Level AAA); 1.2.8 Media Alternative (Prerecorded) (Level AAA); 1.4.7 Low or No Background Audio (Level AAA); 1.4.8 Visual Presentation (Level AAA) - Does not support.
  • 1.4.6 Contrast (Enhanced) (Level AAA) - Partially supports
  • 2.3.2 Three Flashes (Level AAA) - Partially supports - No web pages have flashing content, but there may be video content that has flashing.
  • 3.1.3 Unusual Words (Level AAA); 3.1.4 Abbreviations (Level AAA); 3.1.6 Pronunciation (Level AAA) - Does not support.
